About the Austin Chapter
Women in Aviation - Austin Chapter is dedicated to the encouragement and advancement of women in all aviation careers and interests, in alignment with Women in Aviation International’s mission.
We are a welcoming community of aviation professionals, students, and enthusiasts who connect through networking, mentorship, and educational events. Our members represent all areas of aviation, including pilots, aircraft mechanics, air traffic controllers, engineers, and aviation hobbyists.
The Austin Chapter hosts outreach opportunities, private tours, and social events—including fun happy hours! Our signature event, Girls in Aviation Day, introduces young girls to aviation careers, hands-on STEM activities, and the chance to interact with static aircraft. We also support women pursuing aviation through scholarship opportunities.
Most importantly, we have a lot of fun and help one another pursue our aviation dreams!

WAI members seek to inspire and stand for encouragement, continued education, and a whole lot of fun!
